The Bloodsucking Zombies from Outer Space (BZfOS) were founded in Vienna in 2002.
What began as an idea to bring horror films to life in musical form developed into one of the most enduring and distinctive Horror Shockrock Bands in the German-speaking world and beyond.
In their early years, the BZfOS were still deeply rooted in the psychobilly scene, but they soon found a sound entirely their own. Over time, they integrated (horror-) punk, gothic rock and metal elements into their songwriting, shaping a modern style that now appeals to a wide-ranging and diverse audience.
The BZfOS are particularly known for their intense, theatrical live shows. A trademark of the band remains their many horror elements, brought to life through makeup, costumes, and countless props - a concept that excites both long-time fans and first-time concertgoers alike.
The band’s musical repertoire can be found on numerous EPs and album releases. It ranges from early classics like Monster Mutant Boogie and darkly humorous songs in Austrian dialect, to more recent releases that show a versatile and modern side, as heard on their latest albums All These Fiendish Things and Shock Rock Rebels.
The BZfOS have been nominated multiple times for the Amadeus Austrian Music Award and won it in 2015 in the Hard’n’Heavy category.
Throughout their career, the BZfOS have played on countless club stages and festivals across Europe. In addition to their own tours, this includes support shows for Alice Cooper, the Hollywood Vampires and Bela B, as well as appearances at Wacken Open Air, Nova Rock and Wave-Gotik-Treffen.
With their album release planned for 2026, the Bloodsucking Zombies from Outer Space are now returning to the stage, opening a new chapter in their horror universe that they will celebrate together with their audience
